HUR Smart Touch Kiosk

Instructions for HUR SmartTouch Kiosk
Instructions for New Users
Create your own profile at the HUR SmartTouch Kiosk using your assigned username and password. This step is not compulsory, but we strongly encourage you to do so, as your workout will be saved and you can track your progress each time you log in.
Tap your RFID card onto the reader at the Kiosk to register your details onto the card.
Instructions Before Your Session
Log in at the HUR SmartTouch Kiosk using your assigned username and password.
Tap your RFID card onto the reader at the Kiosk.
Instructions at Each Machine
Tap your RFID card onto the reader at the machine.
If you are a newly registered user, the machine will prompt you to make the required adjustments. If you are an existing user, allow the machine to move to your preset positions and follow the on-screen guidance. Your seat and back support will be adjusted automatically according to your personal settings.
If the machine is dual function, select your exercise by swiping. After a few seconds, the load will be set automatically and your target repetitions will be displayed on screen.
Start training. An alarm will sound when your preset number of repetitions has been completed.
Move to the next machine or exercise and repeat steps 5 to 8.
Instructions After Your Session
Tap your RFID card onto the reader at the HUR SmartTouch Kiosk screen.
Tap "Log Out" on the home screen.
Return your RFID card to the HUR SmartTouch Kiosk. All exercise information from your visit will be saved automatically.
Upper Body Machines
HUR Push Up and Push Down Machine (removable seat for wheelchair users)

Instructions for HUR Push Up and Push Down Machine
Muscles Used
This machine works on the shoulders, biceps, triceps and back muscles.
Instructions for Wheelchair Users
This machine is wheelchair friendly. You may remove the adjustable chair and reverse your wheelchair until the back of your wheelchair touches the backrest.
Remember to lock your wheels in place.
This machine also comes with a safety belt for extra safety and stability.
Instructions Before Your Session
Always ensure the load is set to 0 before entering the machine.
If the bars are out of your reach, range limiters are present on this machine to limit the range to a smaller degree, such that the lever arms are within reach. Seek assistance if necessary.
Instructions for Push Exercise
Hold onto the lever arms with your palms facing downwards, about shoulder-width apart or to your comfort and ability level.
Keep your wrists straight as you push up the bar.
Exercise by pushing the lever arms up with your arms, exhaling as you push.
Do not lock your arms when they are extended as it may cause injury.
Return to the starting position slowly.
The machine will count your repetitions as you exercise.
Instructions for Switching Exercise
Press the "Release" button to change exercise.
Watch out for moving lever arms when switching.
Instructions for Pull Exercise
Hold onto the lever arms with your palms facing downwards, about shoulder-width apart or to your comfort and ability level.
Keep your wrists straight and lean back against the back support.
Exercise by pulling the lever arms down with your arms, exhaling as you pull.
Do not overextend your elbow.
Keep your back against the back support.
Return to the starting position slowly.
The machine will count your repetitions as you exercise.

Release the load on the machine and return it to the default position before leaving.
HUR Lat Pull Machine (removable seat for wheelchair users)

Instructions for the HUR Lat Pull Machine
Muscles Used
This machine works on the upper back muscles.
Instructions for Wheelchair Users
This machine is wheelchair friendly. You may remove the adjustable chair and adjust yourself so that your chest is leaning on the chest support of the machine.
Remember to lock your wheels in place.
Instructions Before Your Session
Always ensure the load is set to 0 before entering the machine.
If the lever arms are out of your reach, range limiters are present on the sides of this machine. Seek assistance if necessary.
If you need to adjust the height of the chest support, pull the support cushion away from the machine and rotate it 180 degrees, then push the support cushion back into the machine.
Instructions During Your Session
Grip the handlebars according to your comfort and ability level.
Keep your chest pressed to the cushion in front of you.
Exercise by pulling the lever arms back with your arms, pulling your shoulder blades towards each other.
Exhale as you pull.
Return to the starting position slowly.
If using alternate repetitions, ensure that one side does not lag behind in count. The system will not continue counting until the lagging side has caught up.

HUR Chest Press Machine (removable seat for wheelchair users)

Muscles Used
This machine works on the chest muscles and triceps.
Instructions for Wheelchair Users
This machine is wheelchair friendly. You may remove the adjustable chair and reverse your wheelchair until the back of your wheelchair touches the backrest.

After getting into the machine, hold onto the lever arms according to your comfort and ability level.
Adjust the seat height such that your forearms are parallel to the ground and your grip is at chest height.
Your elbows should be in line with your chest, not too far forward and not too far back behind you. Do adjust the range limiters if necessary.
Instructions During Your Session
Exercise by pushing the lever arms forward, exhaling as you push.
Keep your wrists straight and keep your back pressed against the backrest.
Hold your forearms parallel to the ground and do not lock your arms when extended.
Return to the starting position slowly.
If using alternate repetitions, ensure that one side does not lag behind in count. The system will not continue counting until the lagging side has caught up.

Lower Body Machines
HUR Leg Press Machine

Instructions for the HUR Leg Press machine
Muscles Used
This machine works on the quadriceps, hamstrings, and calf muscles.
Instructions for Users with Limited Range of Motion
Lock mechanisms are available to limit the range of motion if you have limited range of motion in your lower body.
Seek assistance to adjust the lock mechanisms.
Instructions Before Your Session
Always ensure the load is set to 0 before entering the machine.
Adjust the backrest such that your knees are bent at 90 degrees in the starting position.
Secure your feet to the foot straps using the leg straps provided.
Use the back-of-knee support to prevent over-extension of the knee.
Instructions During Your Session
Push the levers forward with your legs, keeping your lower back firmly on the back support.
Exhale as you push.
Grip the handlebars for stability and support.
Do not lock your knees when fully extended.
Return to the starting position slowly.
If using alternate repetitions, ensure that one side does not lag behind in count. The system will not continue counting until the lagging side has caught up.

HUR Leg Adduction and Abduction Machine

Instructions for the HUR Leg Adduction and Abduction Machine
Muscles Used
This machine works on both the inner and outer thigh muscles.
Instructions Before Your Session
Get on the machine from the front, with the lever arms spread open. You may use the safety grip handles if needed.
Always ensure the load is set to 0 before entering the machine.
Range limiters are present on this machine. Seek assistance if necessary.
Place each leg into the leg holders, keeping your knees inside the padding, and lean back.
Instructions for Adduction Exercise (Pressing Inward)
Exercise by pressing the levers together with your legs, exhaling on effort.
Keep your back firmly against the seat.
Return to the starting position slowly.
If using alternate repetitions, ensure that one side does not lag behind in count. The system will not continue counting until the lagging side has caught up.
Instructions for Switching Exercise
Press the "Release" button to change exercise.
Do not remove your legs from the holders when switching.
Instructions for Abduction Exercise (Pressing Outward)
Exercise by pulling the levers apart with your legs, exhaling on effort.
Keep your back firmly against the seat.
Return to the starting position slowly.

Slowly remove your legs from the holders one at a time before leaving the machine.
HUR Leg Extension and Leg Curl Machine

Instructions for the HUR Leg Extension and Leg Curl Machine
Muscles Used
This machine works on the quadriceps and hamstring muscles.
Instructions Before Your Session
Always ensure the load is set to 0 before entering the machine.
This machine comes with a safety belt for extra safety and stability.
Adjust the backrest such that the back of your knee is against the top roller.
Range limiters are present on this machine. Seek assistance if necessary.
Instructions for Leg Extension Exercise (Pushing Upward)
Hold onto the bars by the side of the seat for extra support.
Place the front of your ankles under the lower rollers, ensuring the back of your knee is against the top roller.
Exercise by pushing the levers upwards with your legs, exhaling as you push.
Return to the starting position slowly.
If using alternate repetitions, ensure that one side does not lag behind in count. The system will not continue counting until the lagging side has caught up.

Press the "Release" button to change exercise.

Instructions for Leg Curl Exercise (Pressing Downward)
Place the back of your ankles on top of the lower rollers.
Fasten the thigh straps and safety belt.
Exercise by pressing the levers downwards with your legs, exhaling as you push.
Return to the starting position slowly.

Core Machines
HUR Abdomen and Back Machine

Instructions for the HUR Abdomen and Back Machine
Muscles Used
This machine works on the abdominal and back muscles.
Instructions for Users Entering the Machine
The lever arm is adjustable for ease of entry. Ask for assistance if necessary.
Always ensure the load is set to 0 before entering the machine.
Use the safety grip handles to get on the machine.
Adjust the seat height to a comfortable position using the machine. Seek assistance if required.
Once in a comfortable position, increase the load to your desired level. The lever arm will move up against your back or chest.
Instructions for Abdominal Exercise
Sit so that the lever arm is against your mid chest, while your back remains on the backrest.
Gently hold on to the roller with your palms facing you.
Exercise by using your abdominal muscles to push the lever arms down, exhaling as you push.
Do not strain your neck or arch your back when going down. Keep your neck and back in a straight line.
Return to the starting position slowly.
The machine will count your repetitions as you exercise.

Instructions for Back Exercise
Sit so that the lever arm is up against your shoulder blades and the backrest supports your abdomen.
Cross your hands on your chest.
Exercise by pushing the lever arm back using your lower back muscles, exhaling as you push.
Return to the starting position slowly.
The machine will count your repetitions as you exercise.
